It is very suspicious to me and I'm not sure what daemon tolls are. I tried searching the Internet, but couldn't find anything that confirm this. I've never done this, but I believe the idea is to point the game to the virtual drive created by DT to fool the game into thinking you have the original CD. Many games won't run with DT installed for this reason. YASU seems to be designed to overcome this problem.
